Kakheti, Sagarejo
Aromatic Kakhetian oil is made from sunflower seeds grown in the fields of Sagarejo. During the summer, the warm Kakhetian sun helps the plant grow and when harvest time comes, the farmer collects the seeds and allows them to dry outside to remove the moisture. After this, the seeds are pressed to release the natural oil before being transferred to large steel containers for cleaning and purification. This age-old method is the blueprint for creating the unforgettable taste and aroma that has been passed down through many generations. Kakhetian oil is mostly used in salads because its nutty aroma adds a new depth of flavor to fresh vegetables. It is rich in vitamins A, B, D and E, the latter of which has been shown to reduce the risk of skin diseases. It is also rich in Group F fatty acids and minerals such as magnesium, calcium, iron, iodine and zinc, which reduces the risk of rickets in children and can improve blood supply to the brain.
